This ninth volume in the series follows on from Volume 8, looking in more depth at the "integration" of young people in disadvantaged urban areas. A comparative analysis of "difficult" neighbourhoods in six (east and west) European cities and a detailed study of a special project conducted in the Spanish districts of Naples highlight that only co-ordinated multi-agency efforts, combined with innovative approaches adapted to the specific context, can restore dignity to the younger members of such communities and enable them to build a life project.
