Many European invertebrates have become threatened by changes in natural or semi-natural habitats, in particular by the intensification of farming. As invertebrates contribute greatly to biological diversity and have a fundamental role in the way ecosystems work, it is urgent to develop habitat management methods that will assure their survival.
