Information technology and law - Linking systems and their users: modern communication techniques in the legal field (2002)

The 14th Colloquy on Information Technology and Law in Europe is one of a series of meeting reflecting the main developments in information technology and law.
The report reproduced in this volume reflect the main tendencies and concerns in Europe with regard to the use of modern communication techniques in the legal sector in Europe, present a picture of the rapid developments in information technology over the last decades and provide an outlook into the technological future. Emphasis was laid on the importance for states of providing access to legal data in such a way as to facilitate easy use all citizens.
