Introduction and reintroduction of non-native organisms into the natural environment is an important issue for biodiversity conservation, and a major problem for the future. Uncontrolled introduction and reintroduction are among the chief causes of the disappearance of flora and fauna species and considering the obvious transfrontier nature of the problem, it should be dealt with by measures taken on the widest possible geographical scale.
