The European Conference of Ministers responsible for Regional Planning (CEMAT) has adopted a work programme directed towards the analysis of possibilities of sustainable development in the European continent, on a long-term basis.
The Helsinki colloquy examined the problems and prospects for regional/spatial planning in the northern states of Europe, as well as strategies for sustainable development.
